Campbell : New York

Campbell is a town located in Steuben County, New York, United States. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 3,691. The name is from Robert Campbell, an early landowner.

The Town of Campbell is centrally located in the county. It was the birthplace, in 1874, of IBM founder Thomas J. Watson Sr.

History
The town was formed in 1831 from the Town of Hornby.
