Chenango is a town located in Broome County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 11,454.

The Town of Chenango, established in 1791, is one of the original towns of the county, from which other towns were later formed. The town includes the communities of Castle Creek, Castle Glen, Kattelville, Chenango Bridge, and West Chenango.

Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 88.7 km˛ (34.3 mi˛). 87.9 km˛ (33.9 mi˛) of it is land and 0.9 km˛ (0.3 mi˛) of it is water. The total area is 0.99% water.

As of the census2 of 2000, there are 11,454 people, 4,519 households, and 3,271 families residing in the town. The population density is 130.4/km˛ (337.7/mi˛).
