Sea Island is an isolated resort island in Glynn County, Georgia. It is located just off the Atlantic coast of southern Georgia. Sea Island is part of the group of islands known as the "Golden Isles of Georgia," together with Jekyl Island, Sapelo Island, and St. Simon's Island. Milledgeville is a city located in Baldwin County, Georgia (of which it is the county seat), northeast of Macon, Georgia between Eatonton, Georgia and Hardwick, Georgia along Highway 441 on the banks of the Oconee River. History
Milledgeville was named after Georgia governor John Milledge, and was laid out at the start of the 19th century to be the new centrally located capital of the State of Georgia. It served as the state capital from 1804
