The Town of Patterson is in the northeast part of the county. Interstate 84 passes through the southwest part of the town.
History
The Town of Patterson, known as the Town of Franklin at its incorporation in 1795, changed to its current name in 1808. Most of the town had previously been part of the Town of Southeast before the 1795 realignment.
Geography
The north town line is the border of Dutchess County, New York and the east town line is the border of Connecticut.
