Orchard Lake Village is a city located in Oakland County, Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 2,215.
Orchard Lake Village surrounds Orchard Lake, the second-largest lake in Oakland County (after Cass Lake, which is also partially in Orchard Lake Village). The city is mostly surrounded by West Bloomfield. It also shares a border with Keego Harbor to its east. Orchard Lake Village is home to St. Mary’s Preparatory and SS. Cyril and Methodius Seminary. It is also the home of the now-defunct Michigan Military Academy.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 10.6 km˛ (4.1 mi˛). 6.7 km˛ (2.6 mi˛) of it is land and 3.9 km˛ (1.5 mi˛) of it is water. The total area is 36.83% water. Orchard Lake, Cass Lake, and Upper Straits Lake are all within or partially within the city limits. Terrain is rolling and high.

Carlton is a town located in Orleans County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 2,960. The name is derived from a shipbuilding district in Ontario, Canada.

Bitely (sometimes spelled Biteley) is an unincorporated community within Newaygo County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is within Lilley Township about 1 mile east of Michigan State Highway 37 in the Manistee National Forest. It is near Bitely Lake, Lamoreaux Lake, Isaac Lake and several smaller lakes.
It was a station on the Chicago & Western Michigan Railroad (now the Pere Marquette) in 1889, and given a post office on September 13, 1889, with Archer D. Martin as its first postmaster. Named for Steven Bitely, who built a sawmill here, but the post office was always spelled Biteley.
