Tower is a city located in St. Louis County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 479.
The city was incorporated in 1889, which makes it the oldest city in the Arrowhead region. It owes its establishment to the Soudan Mine. Tower is home to the Tower Train Museum; near the museum is McKinley Monument, the first erected in honor of William McKinley shortly after his assassination in 1901.
Tower set the Minnesota record for coldest temperature on February 2, 1996 when the temperature dropped to -60°F (-51°C).

Shorewood-Tower Hills-Harbert is a cluster of unincorporated communities located in Berrien County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is a Census-designated place (CDP) used for statistical purposes. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 1,619. The CDP is limited to Chikaming Township, although some of the communities extend into southern Lake Charter Township.
All of the communities are located either upon or just east of the dunes on the shore of Lake Michigan. Most of the communities lie west of Interstate 94, although the CDP includes a small area east of the interstate up to
